Is Fast User Switching in Leopard faster than it was in Tiger?

Is it possible to set up accounts to not require password so that you can switch back and forth by selecting account from menubar rather than having to type in the password each time?

I remember when I had Jaguar and maybe Panther on my G4 I could set it to auto login at boot w/o requiring password, just didn't know if this was possible with multiple accounts and fast user switching. It would be nice to speed up the process.

Let someone else confirm but I believe you can do it with blank passwords. On a side note, my fast user switching in Leopard is smoother than in Tinger. (The cube spinning animation that is) It kind of flickered in Tiger and hesitated a lil when bringing the other user's desktop into view. It works great now. I can't say for sure about the password thing tho because one of my users has a password while my profile does not.

I thought I had to have a password when I set up an account, admin or not. Can I remove it after the fact?
