Fastest non ssd hd for 2.4 non unibody

Yes, I did search... not really sold on the hybrid momentus.

Wondering if anyone can save me some lookup hassle and time and let me know what the fastest drive is right now.. I should add, it needs to be as large as possible.

Clearly 5400 is out though.

Thoughts? Looking to breathe a bit of new life.. yes I am technical, but I also haven't been following laptop drives lately and don't fancy research from scratch!

Majority of people here who don't have the momenuts xt go with the WD scorpio black. I'm sure that would be one of your best bets.

750GB 7200rpm drive is currently the fastest 2.5" drive. At least Seagate and WD makes them

Took WD a while. The Seagate 750GB is generally cheaper, go with that. I bought mine for $100 and it's great.
