I'm trying to run a test to figure out what the download speed limit is of the iPad (All versions) for a project.

I was hoping a few people with really fast connections 50 Mbps + would be able to test using any speedtest app and let me know what there result is, what version iPad they are on and what the advertised speed of there connection is.

So far doing some local testing I've been able to get a max of about 57 Mbps.

Thanks

Not sure if you're secretly trying to promote the app in your signature.

Very clever though, "a project"

The "Project" is that app but I'm not trying to promote anything I'm trying to fix an issue i've ran into that I'm unable to really test.

I need to recalibrate a few meters with in my app but I can't do that because my internet connection isn't fast enough and I can't get access to a fast enough connection to find out what the limit really is.

I need to know the limit of mostly the iPad 4 and iPad mini so I can calibrate everything. It use to be easy to find the limit but the latest versions have gotten much faster it's been harder to find the limit.

iPad Mini (and i assume the others) supports 802.11a/b/g/n Wi‑Fi.

802.11n has (theoretically based on your network connection) between the speeds of 54Mb/s and 600 Mb/s.

There.

That's correct, but the flash storage can't write data anywhere near as fast as 802.11n theoretical limit is.

An iPad 4 can only write data at about 240 Mb/s, max network performance isn't close to that, it's not even half. I need to find out what the real world limit is.
