Hi,

I came from using Windows and am looking for a Mac alternative to a program called "Everything" (http://www.voidtools.com/).

I like Spotlight and Finder, but it doesn't find all the files (hidden folders or certain filetypes it seems, like when I was searching for an .ini file in an external drive's hidden app folder).

Right now I am using EasyFind but it's slow compared to Everything and it seems to search on-the-fly instead of using an index. I think I tried a similar program but they both are slow compared to Everything.

Is there an app that finds every single file and folder "instantly" just like Everything on Windows?

Thanks

You can use Finder to search for hidden or system files. Just add that criteria to your search.
