I'm trying burn through my 1st Gen 8GB Touch as fast as possible so that I can calibrate it.

What's faster for draining it? Video, or playing some games?

EDIT: I don't have a WiFi connection available, but I do have it turned on to help kill the battery some.

turn in Location Services (in settings, in general)
brightness max (of course)
and uh if ur lazy, play all songs, volume max (don't have to plug in earphone), and take a nap or something

USB or Firewire powered gear - usb external HDD, USB cooling pad, USB fan... using the optical drive (copy some DVD with files to your HDD)...

Did you even read the OP's post? He's talking about an iPod Touch.

@ OP-

play some videos. And play some graphics intensive games.

watch a video, wifi on, full brightness, and have PUSH enabled? IIRC i think there were complaints before about how fast PUSH would drain battery.

put music on shuffle repeat first. also if you have speakers that use the ipods power.

video or games
turn full brightness.
turn wifi on.
Turn dim to never
Turn sleep to never.

BAM!

there's an app called trapster, that is used to identify speed cameras, radars, etc. and it says as a warning because it constantly updates (or something like that) it uses a lot of battery power. i used it for 5 min, just checking the speed cameras around and such around my area, i used alomost a quarter of my battery, try it it might be useful. :D

The thing that drains my ipod touch's battery the fastest is watching youtube videos (long ones) or browsing the internet and listening to music at the same time.
