Any suggestions or tricks? Do I call AT&T or Apple Store every morning...or cross my fingers and order one online somewhere.

I would look for obscure places that sell the iPhone in a non populated area. Also can do the same online, there are some places on the net that do sell them that not too many people know about, but you need to find them.

Other than that be patient.
 
Reserve a phone online at your local apple store the night before. They say "after 9:00pm", but it went live for me last night at 8:55. Then, just make a reservation to pick it up the next morning.

where are you located and what color? i can check the att stores in your area.

This. If I could cancel my AT&T order and/or get another line upgrade date moved up I would definitely do this.
 
Try Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile. They have them in my area. Use Best Buys web site and check store availability.
 
they will be a tad hard to come by since they are the cheapest i was able to find in va like 4 32gb white ones at 1 store for a customer, this was on Monday. I'll keep checking, i can see when they have some in transit but thats all.

Do you have any info on Chicago for a 16GB white 4S?
 
:confused: walk into apple store in the morning at opening. Ask if they have it. They will. Buy it. Leave.

It's really not hard to find it. I walked into the apple store and they had a bunch of 16 gb at&t 4S's and verizon 16 gbs & 64gbs.

I'm going through Apple too but I'm not sure if I'm going to have a problem not going to an At&T store because of my FAN account. So I just want a back-up plan.

Hey phillyphill. I was thinking of upgrading my 16g Black 4s to a 32g. I'm in Southfield MI and purchased through ATT. Any ideas around here. No big deal though, I'm otherwise happy with my phone.
