Fastest way to remove text format&hyperlinks

I am on Yosemite. Suggest me ways to remove text format and hyperlinks from urls... the only way i know is with textedit. I use notes to copy stuff there....

Most of the time, you can choose Edit > Paste and Match Style to paste plain text.
