EDIT: Figured it out, had reset and restore mixed up/I'm dumb, Mods can delete

What is the fastest way to wipe my touch clean of all data? I know you can go into general settings or whatever and delete is by going through the iPod itself, but thats telling me its going to take 4 hours... I don't have 4 hours. Is there a way to do this from the computer that would be faster/more efficient but just as effective?

I need to return my iPod, and its not going to the Apple Store, so I don't feel safe leaving all the info on there since I have pretty much all my email addresses set up on this thing and some other apps that hold personal info.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm willing to try whatever since if the files get corrupted and no longer work, that's fine bc then no one else can get into them either.
