I loved FR on my pc, are there any similar apps for my mac? I want to be able to resize, add watermarks, add borders etc to photos.

You can resize your photos in Preview. Preview is an App that comes in OS X. You can resize, crop, add stuff like arrows, fun bubbles. You can add text too.
Edit your photos in iPhoto. Tether with Image Capture App. All these apps come with OSX.
If you are near an Apple store try it out.
