Is there any way to format on a mac without buying any other software to format a memory card to FAT32? I tried formating to FAT and I put the memory card in my 20D and it did not see the card. Any ideas?

Every camera I've owned can format media (to FAT32) as well if Disk Utility isn't available.

LMAO!! I complete forgot about formatting on the camera.... Hahaha I'm so use to doing it on a computer. I looked under Disk Utility but I could only find FAT... I guess I'm justing missing it. Thanks.

Disk Utility uses "FAT" to meant both FAT16 and FAT32. It chooses whichever one is appropriate. (FAT16 for 2 GB or less, FAT32 for over 2 GB.)

That said, some devices have issues with Mac-formatted flash cards. (Some even have issues with standard Windows Explorer-formatted cards, they say to ONLY format on the device, or using an official flash card formatter app.)
