Hi all,

My iPhone 5 64GB has recently developed an intermittent issue with the sleep/wake button. It is eligible for repair so I took it to my local Apple Store. It could not be replaced as there is a missing pin in the Lightning data port. The only option offered was to pay £205 for a replacement 5.

I have been considering an upgrade to a 6 as an alternative. I could purchase a used (still with 4 months warranty) 16GB 6 for £300. Hard drive space isn't an issue as I don't listen to music much anymore.

Would you recommend this? I could try to trade in my 5 but I'm unsure as to how much I could get as the device is technically faulty. Is the price of a used 6 likely to come down when the new phones are probably revealed next month?

Thanks
