My favorite band has always been Everclear. I've always been able to connect with their music/lyrics in a big way and I've always liked their grunge/rock/pop mis. I've been a fan since 1996, have seen them in concert around 15 times. :)

Been a fan of U2 since the mid '80s. Ever since i heard New Year's Day on Jan 1st, 1984. Looking forward to the new album that's supposed to be coming out in April/March

i listen to myself playing music as i have not yet found a band or musician that rivals my level of music

I think that's going to require a link.

Most of my friends hate my music, as I listen to a lot of jam bands. Favorite by far is moe. Others are The String Cheese Incident, Widespread Panic, The Allman Brothers, some Grateful Dead, and older Phish.

As for more mainstream, 90s alternative fits the bill, with Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Live, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Bush, and earlier Chili Peppers topping the list.

...

Band I am listening to the most lately, be it at home/commute/work are:

Italy's Ufomammut

I like that the vocals are purposely distant. And there is an underlying aggression their trippy sludge. And they can go from extremely heavy to almost tranquil instantly.

Bruce Springsteen is probably #1 on my list, making up 155/934 songs in my library.

OneRepublic and Coldplay are also very good. I like a lot of oldies too.

U2, Pearl Jam, Stereophonics, Oasis, Foo Fighters, Matthew Good, Rush, Led Zeppelin, The Who

When I was in late middle school and early high school I used to listen to things like Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Sum 41, Third eye blind, Green Day, Dashboard etc. I liked those bands, but they all got old after a few years.

After finally getting into the Beatles though, I honestly feel like nothing really compares to them. I also really enjoy the Rolling Stones.

Favorite artist - Eminem/Jay-Z

Favorite band - The Beatles & I like the Creedence Clearwater Revival as well

This forum trends rockist..;)

My absolute favorite would be The Mars Volta. Mind-melting music.

Favorite solo artist is John Frusciante, whose records blows away his work with the Chili Peppers.

Lately, I've been in love with Shellac. Aggressive, minimalist music with teeth.
