I just realized all my cases seem pretty beefy. I'd love a thin case that provides some scratch protection, but mostly for absorbing some of the heat the thing gets from using heavy apps.

Any recommendations?

Only one i have right now is this crappy defaultcase >.>"

I think Cross Line MC-1 Aluminum Cover for iPhone 4 really fit you, This innovated case NOT only protect the iPhone from scratch, dust and dirt. The metal thermal conductivity effectively protect iPhone 4 internal components. Ultra slim of 29g and thickness of 1.2mm, even thiner than silicone case! just visit case2case.net/cross-line-mc-1-aluminum-cover-for-iphone-4-yellow.html to find it.
Your link does not work and you joined to try and sell a case?

this is the worst case of marketing engrish i have seen yet.

the the TS, check out the pinlo slice. a search of the forum by keywords would have revealed many cases with the attributes you're seeking.
