what's your favorite mac you own or have owned?

what mac would you most want to have that you don't have in your collection now?

I love my Cube. But I'm pretty happy with the other Macs I have too.

I'd like to have an external monitor with the flexible arm design of the LCD iMac.

At the Washington Apple Pi Garage Sale yesterday, the table next to mine was showing a Twentieth Anniversary Mac, with a G3 update and all original boxes, manuals, parts etc. for $900. What a gorgeous machine... the sound system, the crisp bright screen, the keyboard with leather palm rests. If I didn't have the Cube and several other machines already, I'd have bought it.

Re: favorite mac?

Favorite Mac: Quadra 840AV. Amazing for its time. Top of the line before the arrival of the Power Mac. I felt like I could do anything!

well from playing with almost all the macs (g3 and up, too young to remember most before that) I can never pick a favorite. Probably my most favorite is the flat panel imac, i play with it all time and it just a computer I would love you have in every room for decoration. cube is one of apples greatest, had many flaws but it was a beatiful machine. I also the rube and sage imacs, i always wanted one on my desk because they were very good looking. Even though they arent my favorite, i do like my 12 inch powerbook and dual 1.25 with 20 inch monitor.

The favorite Macintosh that my family has owned is our G3 iMac 400 Mhz Digital Video Edition. It runs OS X just fine, despite that fact that many people say that machines like ours don't run OS X very well. I say that's balogna. The machine I'm most envious of would have to be either a Dual 1.42 Ghz PowerMac with a 23" Cinema Display or a 17" PowerBook.:cool::D:D

My favs are all the machines I own, that's why I bought them ;)

TiBook 550
iBook 500Mhz
iBook 800Mhz (14")
PowerBook 150
PowerBook Duo 280c
PowerBook 540c
PowerBook 5300cs
Macintosh Portable
20th Anniversary Mac
Quadra 840av
Newton OMP
Newton MP 130

The G4 cube was seriously a work of art.
The original PowerMac B&W Case really got my attention because it really stood out for a tower and it was easy to open, but I really think the graphite PMac case was better looking. The flat panel iMac is probably the best looking desktop I have ever seen, it is so unique. The TiBook looks really good too but I have to say my favorite design is the white iBook. Everywhere I take mine it turns heads because it just looks so different from other laptops- and the glowing apple kicks ass.

Titanium Power book. I love the thing and even though its starting to show its age (Rev C, 667 MHz) it still gets an extra glance.....

And I like the Titanium over the new Aluminum - but I'm very curious over what the new 15" AlPB will be like.

I absolutely love my flat imac. It's definitely my fav, although I really like the cube as well. I really like the new ibooks too. I don't know. I like too much of apples stuff.

apple 2+

It served all my needs when I was 13. Ahhh, the hours spent on UltimaIII and wizardry.

400mhz tibook
400 g4 powermac(waiting for my 1gig upgrade card)

Dual 1Ghz MDD, 2GB Ram, 240GB HD, Superdrive/Combodrive, Nvidia Geforce4Ti, Apple 17" LCD.

My baby:)

I've only had the 17inch iMac in the office for 48 hours now, and no contest - coolest Mac ever

My newest Mac, of course. It's so fast! Power Mac dual 1.25 2003. My previous Mac was an 8500. We also have a 466 iBook SE. Before my 8500 I had a Mac IIsi. I was blown away at the ability to run two programs at the same time. I spent hours and hours playing SimCity.

Before that I had a IIGS and before that a IIe.

the 6100 series were workhorses that never died. regardless of what kind of crazy/stupid things i did to my performa 6116 it never stopped running. the one i'd most like to add to the collection is the new 17in powerbook

The best lap top I have ever owned is my revB iTang.
The color looks better as it ages.
I need to upgrade to OSX, which it doesn’t handle well.
For now OS9 and my iTang are good company as I write and go through school.

I loved my //e and later my gs (Graphics and Sound or Granny Smith?).
Don't forget Archon, LoadRunner, and Ultima- they were just better on the ]['s.
