Ive been trying out AOL's Editions, and find it crashes a lot. Good concept, gets me news that I want. Any other suggestions on something I can use, update, and read when not on wifi?

You cannot go wrong with Pulse news reader.
If you can type the word, basically it will find you an RSS that it incorporates into its very well done UI. Very smooth, sleek and easy to use for both iPad and iPhone.
