With a busy schedule I find I don't have the time to read long epic novels much anymore. What are some of your favorite quick reads/collections of short stories?

Off the top of my head...

Franz Kafka short stories. Dostoevsky short stories. Gogol short stories. Rendezvous with Rama. The Trial.
