iPhone XS Max Favorites - Can't Select Phone Number?

I've used iPhones for ten years. First time this issue has come up. Suddenly, I cannot select a Contact's number and list them as a Favorite. It only gives me Message, FaceTime, etc as options. Makes no sense. Also, when I start a new text and type in the name...the name appears but the number does not. It just shows "....".

Anyone else see this?
