Favorites widget stops working?

Anyone else? The stock favorites widget keeps malfunctioning on me. What happens is that I press a contact, but nothing happens at all. I have to reboot the phone in order for it to work, but eventually it stops working again. In searching around I see that changing language fixes it temporarily, but still not a permanent solution.

I don't use that but I can suggest to use e.g. Launcher or Magic Launcher instead which work quite well for e.g. contacts and apps.
