I've been looking around for yummy new recipes and websites and I was wondering if anyone has any specific sites that they like?

There is a show called "Barefoot Contessa" on Food Network UK every weekday at 7pm. The recipes on there look good and there are so many situations that she gets herself into that I think anyone could identify with.

On the last episode it was her friend's dog's birthday so she threw a huge beach party for all of her friends and invited them with their dogs to celebrate. It may have been winter in the Hamptons, but that doesn't stop Ina!

The Minimalist has some excellent recipes that are impressive looking whilst also being easy and (relatively) quick to make. Mark Bittman is like my cooking idol.

:)

Google the Observer (British Sunday paper, stable companion to the Guardian) and/or BBC for a chap named Nigel Slater. Actually, he is my favourite food writer, by far. He writes wonderful recipes in an exquisite (almost pornographic) prose style; besides an elegant prose style, and an ability to inspire both confidence and greed in the reader, the recipes are very doable, - almost everything I cook is a copy or a derivation of a Nigel Slater recipe - and the results are invariably delicious.
