I have a few question about faxing under Mac OSX. For the number does it need 1 before the number, how do you type the number 1.111.111.1111 or 234.324.32341 or 234-234-23234? Does it need the area code. Thanks

I would assume that you need to type the number however you would normally dial your phone, since the modem will just be using the phone line to connect to the fax machine on the other end. So, if it's local and you don't have to dial an area code, then don't tell the computer to dial the area code, etc. Also, I would use hypens in between the numbers since that seems to be pretty standard.
