Hi guys, I am new to your forum but old to the Mac. Anyway there is a question that bothers me for a long time: I do some nice videos for my family and friends. I don't like DVD, as I store all my data in DNS, so I prefer to keep video files compressed for I could watch them any time I want (mainly VLC+QuickTime). I use Final Cut 2+Compressor. My camcorder is crap- old mini DV Sony, so the quality is not perfect, but it is still something. Anyway, I used to work with Pinnacle Studio 9 (before I got iMac), and I really used to achieve perfect quality there (despite the camcorder). Here- in FC2- I kinda miss something. The quality is not "crystal clear", I tried all possible codecs and settings during those years and came to no perfect result. I even tried the compression with other camcorders (of my friends)- it is still not perfect. Could you guys share how YOU achieve a decent quality of the movie (.mov/.mp4/.avi/other) so it would not be too large?
:confused:Thanks to you all! I didn't find good results on other forums yet, so I started a new topic here.
