So today i bought FCE to use with my JVC Hard Drive High Definition Camcorder (GZ-HD7) It records to .TOD and .MOI files, I can play the .TOD on Quicktime and on Imovie (with works great with everything) but i cant seem to get it to work with FCE when i import the video it says "unknown File". with the camera a CD came that installs the components to play the video in quicktime. what should i Do?????

As has been noted a fair few times, hard drive based camcorders do not play nicely with Mac OS X.

The only way I can think of would be to find a program that takes those files and converts them to DV or HDV format for editing in FCE. I'm not sure if there are any other methods, certainly with FCP there are only options to import from tape based camcorders or P2 cards.

Yeh, but the funny thing is that the footage works fine on Imovie but not FCE.
