I'm capturing properly recorded audio and video (from a commercial BETA tape...using the Canopus Analog/Digital converter.) The sound comes in too hot (overmodulated) in Final Cut Express. There is no volume control on the audio ouput on the tape deck. And the audio is not hot when played on the tape deck. Is there any way to control the input (i.,e., turn it down) on Final Cut Express? I know there is an audio input control in Apple preferences, but that doesn't seem to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
