Hi guys,

I just finished editing a video that I shot with my Canon HF10 in 24p, 1080 x 1920 HD.

I want to export it to burn it to a dvd. Should I use HD 1920 x 1080 16:9? Data rate Automatic? Any other recommend settings?

My video is about 10 minutes long.

Are you saying you want HD footage on a DVD-R or are you saying you want to make a DVD that is playable in a DVD player?

If it's the former, there's plenty of bitrate calculator programs out there. I would use H.264 and pick as high of a bitrate you can since you only have a 10 minute clip.

If you are actually wanting to watch this video on a DVD player, you'll need to handle all of that through iDVD. Your project isn't in 24p, right? I didn' think FCE supported 24p.

Anyway... follow these instructions on how to properly export FCE content to iDVD:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6652.html

Hope this helps!
