FCE music issue

Hi folks,

I'm totally newbie with FCE working with my very first sequence, I'm reading this book and following the instructions on how to add audio.

1)In the browser I double click my MP3 file to open in the viewer. In the viewer can see the graph and hear it. (a1 and a2 are the destination tracks and are patched to A1 A2)
2)The playhead is in the beginning of my sequence
3)I press F10 to drop the music as overwrite edit
4)The music is laid in the timeline on A1 and A2

But when I play the sequence I see the video playing but not the music, I only hear BEEP BEEP BEEP instead of the music.

Any clue?

FCE can only use .AIFF files, so either convert your MP3 to AIFF or you can just render the audio (click on the audio track and option+r).
