I'm ordering the $99 upgrade to FCE. Is there a printed manual in the box? Is it easy to read or one of those 4 inch square things?

If no good manual I'll print the PDF now so I can get a start reading it. But if Apple includes one I'll save a tree -- and some ink. No, I will not read 100+ pages of text on screen

From Apple's website about the upgrade version:

What's in the box
• DVDs containing Final Cut Express HD 3.5, LiveType 2, and Soundtrack 1.5
• Printed and electronic documentation and tutorials

Yes. I read the same thing.

OK, does anyone know what printed documentation is inside the box? There are several PDF files on the Apple web site. One of them is 1,000 pages (yes three zeroes) others are shorter.

There is a 35pg "workflows" booklet, an "installing your software" booklet, and some software coupons. Plus 5 DVDs.

Thanks. Now that I have the upgrade I can see that the box is the same size as the DVDs inside. It is one of those very small packages that Apple is using now. Of course their can't be any full sized manuals inside.
