FCE Video Capture - not breaking into clips

Hi again,

Again I'm used to Pinnacle on the PC. When I imported an entire miniDV (Sony DRC PC330) it shows up as a single continuous video clip.

I'm used to importing and having the movie automatically broken into clips based on when I start/stop recording on my camera when I'm recording something. In this case a hockey game.

Any direction on if I need to change some settings upon importing, or does FCE just not do this?

I cannot speak for FCE, but FCP has this feature ... so FCE may as well: Once you've captured a clip, look for the "Start/Stop Detect" feature. It will break the clip up into subclips based on when the camera was started and stopped.

I can confirm that this works in FCE
