Ive been using FCP for acouple weeks now and notice that for some reason it will not let me use the crossfade between clips. If I try and drag it down it gives me an X next to the mouse and wont place it. If I right click and choose insert crossfade it puts one in that is less that .1sec and wont let me adjust the length or anything. Anyone know whats up?

I can take a screenshot if noone understands what Im talking about.

Usually when this happens it is because the first clip is at the very end of its source video, and the next clip is at the very start of the beginning. So there are no frames from the video to mix together.

Try trimming some off from both clips and see if the crossfade works.
