Hi guys, I'm new here and I'm hoping I could get some advice. I recently purchased a 13'' MBP. I am also lucky enough that my uncle gave me his old copy of FCP 5. I am in school for business right now, and I work, so I don't have much time to take FCP classes and such. I did some research and found: "Final Cut Pro 5 - Apple Pro Training Series" by Diana Weynand.

My questions are:
How much can I actually do with a 13'' MBP?
Is that book enough to get me going?
What other tips would you give to a newbie hoping to learn FCP?

Thanks a bunch in advanced.

When you edit DV, the 13" will be enough. HD material will be slower on your macbook pro. The book will help you enough. I learned it just from watching tutorials on the internet and teaching it to myself.
