I am trying to put some scrolling text into my video. I am using the "Scrolling Text" generator that came with Final Cut and I need to make it scroll up to a certain point, then stop (holding that position). I cannot find a way to do this and it's driving me nuts. Please help.

--Thanks so much.

LiveType or Motion would be much better suited for this. Or you can create the text in Photoshop then animate the motion/stop in FCP.

(i.e. use a text generator to create a still frame, and use keyframes in the motion tab to animate a scroll, then stop at your desired location.):)

No, keyframes are still active in the Scrolling Text Generator. Let it do its thing, then pick a place to stop it.
