FCP - Video Transition - Quick Question

Hi.
I'm working on my first FCP video, and have a transition question.

As I transition from Clip "A" to Clip "B" in the sequence, I would like the last frame in Clip "A" to play for 5 seconds to better line up with the audio track, then transition to Clip "B" using some disolve effect.

What is the best way to do this? Would it be another effect, or some other tool??

Place the Timeline playhead on the last frame of the clip and hit Shift n. A freeze frame will be loaded into the Viewer window. Change it's duration to what you need then drag it to the Timeline so it lines up with the clip.
