Hi, I wondered if someone could tell me if this idea sounds feasible:
A client wants a video wall to be projected showing four prerecorded video clips at the same time. I wondered if I could film it using DV then edit the four clips into one quicktime file in FCP, then show this file full screen from quicktime pro from, say, a Mac Mini to the projector.
The key questions are...
Can I get FCP to output a project at SVGA or XGA resolution, ie the best resolution supported by the projector?
Will the resolution of my DV footage be maintained (as far as possible) in each of the split screens?
Will a Mac Mini be able to play a Quicktime movie at SVGA or XGA resolution for up to 12 hours at a time?
Is there an USB-to-infra-red device that would be able to turn the projector on and off at specific times each day via software such as iCal?
Sorry for all the questions. Hope someone can help!
