FCP X Clean install produces crash on iMovie Library import?!?

Dear all, what's wrong? I downloaded FCP X from the appstore (ok, maybe that was wrong already), and ran it from the Dock after it installed itself. Then I clicked on "import iMovie events".... and crash... Reproducable.... Here's the dump attached; please tips anyone? Thanks, Vincent
