FCP X glitch! Audio Keeps Playing Despite No Audio

I'm having a serious problem in FCP. I scored a video in Logic, and it looks and sounds great. I keep going back to Logic Pro X to make small tweaks, mixing down, removing the audio track in FCP and replacing it with the new one. This has been working fine, but something has gone wrong. The audio track is somehow "stuck" in the FCP project, despite that there is no audio, no audio track, everything deleted but the video on the timeline.

I even tried going into my computer and deleting every version of that song. Still, when I got back to FCP, and even after a restart, it's playing an older version of the song, and out of sync too. Please help me resolve this. Thank you!

I think I solved it. I copied everything to a new project. Well, not solved but worked around. I'm not sure why the audio somehow got stuck, embedded in that project though there was none. Thank you anyway.

Can't explain it, but I've had to do the same thing on a couple occasions.
