Running 10.6.8 with FCPx and Quicktime 10.

I'd like to be able to export from FCPx to mp4 for PS3 playback, is that possible?

In Win 7 I can use Quicktime 7 Pro to rewrap mov to mp4 with pass through,
but Quicktime 10 does not seem to have the option anymore.

Is it possible to go direct to mp4 in FCPx ?

Yes, the share menu has many options, some for websites and some for specific devices, such as AppleTV 2 and iOS devices.

If you just want to rewrap .mov files, their are cheaper and free apps.

I make videos on FCPx for playback on a PS3,
a rewrap is fine, if FXPx does not output in mp4.

What are the free apps to do that, found Clipwrap but its $50?

Thinking Compressor for $50 might be better if it outputs to mp4 direct from FCPx?
