FCPX not responding when I click "Import Media"

Anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it? I just get a spinning beach ball when I try to import my footage into a new event. My files are all stored on a 2tb Lacie Little Big Disk connected to my MBPr thru Thunderbolt. FCPX is also up-to-date...

Here are my comp's specs:

15" MBPr
OSX 10.8.4
2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Any suggestions?
