So I've called Apple and Best Buy GeekSquad, both who came up with no real solution. I am looking for the "Whoosh" sound effect to apply to my titles and headline text when they come on screen and disappear. I thought it would be in the "Transition and Motion" folder which I don't have. Not sure if it's missing. I have FCPX 10.1.1. I also typed into the search bar "Whoosh" and from reading other forums, people have said 20 or so should pop up to choose from in which my search result comes up with zero. The sound effect can be heard here at 0:10-0:12...(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZkbyhV2V1M) and the scribbling sound effect is cool too. Is this something that is suppose to be downloaded separately? From what I have been told by Geek Squad, they said sound effects like these come standard. Solutions please.

I think it's added in as it doesn't come with FCP X. They cheesed up FCPX so they might have added it in. I'm sure you can find a similar sound effect online.

This sucks! Do you have any recommendation where to go to get quality sound effects?

Have you tried GarageBand sound library or iMovie section. In FCP_X have you gone through all the folders?
If you are that desperate for the sound effect you could create your own, Bicycle Pump or ballon.
Before the advent of video editing software I bought all my sound-effect on a CD under BBC Sound effects.
Why dont you visit your local Music Store and see if the got any sound effect CD. It may help in later times if you need more effects.

You need to download Final Cut Pro Additional Content through Software Update as far as I know.

Yeah I went through every folder and searched all of them. The folder that you showed with the screenshot that says "Final Cut Pro Sound Effects"....I don't even have that folder... I have the latest version from what I was told by apple...I also uninstalled the program and reinstalled it...still couldn't find it. I don't know what to do...It looks like I'm missing some content and Apple didn't give me a way to solve it.

Is there someone or somewhere that they have uploaded these folders that I can download?

Thanks that helped. I got the pencil writing sound effect with that update you just provided. Also all the missing sound folders showed up. I went through the "whoosh" sound effect options and it turns out that's not the sound in the video....Do you happen to know what it is? I can't find it for the life of me. The sound effect can be heard here at 0:10-0:12...(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZkbyhV2V1M)

It's a seperate download from the actual app.
