FED CHALLENGE... Cancelled!

Oh no.. oh nonononono....

So, as anyone who's seen even one of my posts know I AM AN ECON NERD.

The economics nerdery was instilled because of the Fed Challenge competition...
It's sponsored by the regional federal reserve banks. I'm in the district of the Dallas Fed...
So, I'm home sick today (I think I caught a little of my nephew's illness) and I get a call from Gracie a few minutes ago.
I think "that's weird.. she's skipping gov't to make a call, but whatever"
She tells me... fed challenge's been CANCELLED. The teacher got an email around noon saying so, and I just googled it and yea, it's true.

So.. uhm.. I'll have nothing to do for... the rest of the year, if we don't find another econ competition. (there is one, but it's completely THEORY! Whaaaaa? that = CRAP)

So, um... anyone know of any economics competitions in the Houston area?
(I'm expecting to get no responses to that.)

Has anything you've been heavily involved in been canceled? What did you do to occupy that time?
I'd sit around and read Greenspan speeches, but.. eh. I don't feel like there's a point now.

GEEZ. the one thing I really, REALLY like and it gets CANCELED.

Next thing you know, they'll be canceling symphony.
(OK, they won't because it's a fine arts school, but they MIGHT AS WELL!!!)

Hmmm.. I'm not sure about the hierarchy of geek V nerd, but egads, I'm the stupidest most nerdy econ loser ever.

and we were gonna have such a fun time beating Bellaire this year.

(Bellaire is the school that is the only one that really challenges my school. They have huge heads and are always "WHAT? WE GOT BEATEN BY AN ARTS SCHOOL???" Hehe. Losers.)
