iLife 06!!!

I cant wait to see how the new iPhoto handles my enormous photo library!

My only wish would be that either FCP/E or iDVD would encode audio using Dolby Digital... But i heard iDVD will encode for Widescreen TV's now.

*runs off to install*

iPhoto 06 is like a Aperture Light.. It's very very nice :) nice iDVD improvements, iWeb well erm i use Dreamweaver so i doubt ill get a whole lot of use out of it..

Kinda makes me want to get a .Mac account but they still seem like such a waste of money.. plus not EDU discount on them!

I currently use Dreamweaver, but I don't use many advanced features so I'm looking forward to trying out iWeb. Steve's demo looked great! :D

*Impatiently waits for NZ release*

Mine arrived about half an hour ago. It takes a while to install but it seems worth the pennies. Being an absolute website newb, I'm looking forward to checking out iWeb's capabilities. :)

Man, when did you order yours? I orderd mine at 6:18 on tuesday and it's still not here. And I am in So Cal.

I ordered mine 30 minutes after the keynote and i live fairly close to their Elk Grove distribution point :)

ok 1st gripe..

I really wish they had a feature in iWeb to allow you to upload to a FTP site and not just .mac or a folder.. :(

*wobbles back to dreamweaver*

NZ doesn't have it yet?

Oh, it might be available here already, but I'll be getting it bundled with a new iMac. There's no point in buying it retail when you can get it free in a couple of weeks :)

Careful, or I'll emulate yellow's avatar (but using the yellow hair) :p

I ordered mine on Tuesday and it came today (Friday) which is pretty impressive considering Apple Australia's usually pretty slow on this sort of thing.

Can't you mount an FTP server as a folder using Finder? It's buggy and inelegant, but it should work.

So for kicks i decided to try to install on my iBook (specs in sig) and i got the message below, yes i know it said G4 or better on the box but man.. i got that laptop Jan 6th 2004, 2 years seems awefully short to be forgotten by iLife upgrades.. *gulp* whats next no more OS X upgrades? :(

*sulks*

*goes back to staring at iDVD make a DVD in widescreen mode*

Shhhhh.. if you copy iphoto.app over from a G4 install to your G3 machine it still works

I beleive it was less than a year (around 9 months) Apple stopped selling the original airport card after they stopped making the last computer to airport. I looked on eBay to buy one, but the proce skyrocketed since there was such a high demand for them. I remember making a thread about that and I got called a whinner, of course. I would suggest being quiet if you don't want the Apple zealots attacking you.

Nice. Sucks about it only supporting G4+ though. I guess my pismo will have to live with iLife '05.

General question. Can you use iWeb to export to HTML and upload to say.. Blogger or some other site like angelfire or is it simply for use with .Mac?

FedEx sucks. They picked you and not me to leave an iLife 06 box with.

Naw, I'm just messing around.
People who can fork over the money right now are pretty lucky.

Really? What are the main differences between iPhoto 05 and '06 other than the ability to handle larger libraries?

Well, the more I use it the more I realise how much faster 06 is. Also, the full screen editing feature is quite useful. :)

That's it? That's the big difference?

I think I'll wait until iLife '07 then, thank. Don't wanna be the only guy who has spent over $200 upgrading a FREE program that comes with every new Mac when I could just use the money towards a new $3000 MacBook Pro. :p

(didn't do too well in finance in highschool)

How big is your photo library, i have about 2,000 pictures r so, and iphoto 05 takes forever to load on my mini
