So I just went entered my iPhone tracking number to the FedEx website and looked at the info, and it's "in transit".

But then I saw the estimated delivery time I was like what?

"Estimated delivery Jun 24, 2010 by 4:30 PM "

4:30pm? I never receive packages from them, is this like them? I always get my deliveries by UPS they're usually here between 9am-12pm.

What's your estimated time say?

4:30 is their deadline. I got my 3GS at 10am.

Hmm, mine says by 10:30...on the 23rd :p

I know it won’t get here until the 24th, but I hope the 10:30 part is still true:D

listen, im just happy that unlike everything else i got from apple, the release date of iphone 4 is not on a friday.....
thanks apple!

Mine says it'll deliver by 10:30 a.m. on June 23. Assuming they'll hold it until the 24th, I hope the deliver by time stays the same!

Hopefully i get mine by 12:30 a.m (when i get home) because i have a lot of stuff to do after i get my iPhone 4. And yes i know, someone has to be (and will be) there to sign for it.

Mine has the same estimate. It could get there a little earlier, but that time is often the worse case senario time.

Well I'm trying my best not to get too anxious on that day, especially since I took that day off. So if it comes that late, so be it. Beats having to camp/wait in line. At least I'll be one of the lucky ones to get it on launch day, since many people couldn't get there preorders on time or got theirs canceled.

Delivery deadlines vary on area. It is, of course by 4:30 PM, and yes, this is the standard deadline for suburbs. It's highly likely you'll get it before then. It just depends where your house is on the delivery route. For example, I usually get "standard" next day packages around 12pm-1pm.

It's also possible to get it after 4:30 PM if there is heavy traffic or something beyond FedEx's control. Technically trucks are out to about 7pm.

June 23 by 10:30 am wohoo. But I will not be there still on vacation. But my mail room signs for it anyways so I am not worried I don't even have to pre-sign hehe :). love how it is coming right from SHENZHEN, China... Is everyone coming right from the factory..

My tracking number isn't showing up in their system yet ... but my stuff from Fedex usually comes around 2-3 p.m. Just in time to make the dog bark and wake the baby from his nap! (Not that I'll complain in THIS instance ...)

Anyone know if this is a Ground or regular Fed-X shipment, I am assuming the latter since all my Apple goodies arrive Fed-X express saver or faster. I am hoping so because the fast ship guy is a personal friend and the ground guys change day to day. I can just call my buddy up and come meet him in town somewhere and pick it up, we live in a small ski town.

It would be really cool if it actually did come June 23. I mean, I highly doubt it. But cool nonetheless.

Everyone will receive their phones at precisely 10:00am. They have individually assigned delivery men to each pre-order.

If it's coming from China then its FedEx Express as there is no way to drive from China to the U.S. FedEx Express and FedEx Ground are completely separate other than shared website, billing, and CSR center. They share the same local depots.

Mine says the standard 23rd by 10:30. Assuming that is the 24th. Not sure but I might go to work late and hope it comes by 10:30. I really can't wait all day. My boss won't be down with that.

Anyone have any experience with pre-signing for delivery? Not really sure I want my iPhone left at my house or an excuse for the driver to take it since FedEx is then released from liability.

Well, they could drive to the US via the Bering Strait assuming it's frozen over at this time of year and the FedEx driver has balls of steel ;)

Mine says 10:30 on the 23rd also. I am not holding my breath for the 23rd. However, if it was here by 10:30 on the 24th that would be awesome. I just found out that I am gonna be stuck at work from noon to 10:30pm on Thursday. Then I have to be back in at 7am Friday. So if I could have this thing activated before that stretch it would be pretty sweet. I know if I don't get it until Thursday night I'm gonna stay up all night playing with it like some 12 year old that just discovered an erection.

It means exactly like it say BY 4:30. My FedEx truck is usually at my shipping door around 10am but there is no guarantee that it will arrive except by 4:30. It would matter if yours gets there a little before 4:30, I would say by 12 noon the ATT servers will dump again and no one will be able to activate till late in the day or the next day!

Glad mine arrives early!:D

of course they have not individually assigned delivery men to each pre-order.. it will be the same guy that does the route as usual.... I will actually have mine around 8 am... why in the world would fed ex put hundreds of thousands of drivers on the round extra for for a iphone;) that would be stupid. fed-ex will deliver their same excellent service as usual.. now maybe they will need extra drivers but i don't think so each driver will just have to not stop and talk as much :p which they do do trust me haha. not complaining i'm good friends with my driver(paul) normally comes in for breakfast too..

I normally get a fedex delivery around 2pm.
That's why I'm picking my phone up at 7am at the apple store.
Too risky to try activating iPhone 4 in the afternoon EST.

I was kidding, of course. People sometimes have strange expectations of deliverymen, as if they're the only person who's having a package delivered.

hehe you never know maybe a apple rep will hand deliver it dressed in a fed ex /apple uniform haha
