For the love god I hate FedEx Home Delivery. These contractors sucks and I wish they would use the own employees. As I’m getting a package from them and on there site says
Customer not available or business closed which was not true. I was still working and no one should up yesterday. Sorry for the rant but this really sucks :mad:
 
I agree. FedEx Home Delivery completely.
Back in January my wife was expecting a package to be deliver by them.
She checked the tracking info and it showed delivered. We checked around the house and with the neighbors...no package.

Called FedEx. The driver swore up and down that he delivered it. Well 2 days later I found the package in a snowbank in the front yard. Please note I drive by the front yard twice a day and never saw the package before!

My feeling is that he found the package, drove by, and tossed the package out the window.
 
Well is still out for delivery even though it's 10:00pm. Oh well I guess I will be waiting longer... It's really sad that one of there hubs is about 10mins from where the package needs to be delivered to
 
FedEx Home delivery sucks

FedEx Home is extremely poor

Never use FedEx Home for sending any packages. It is the worst package service that I have ever encountered. FedEx sub-contracts it out to independent contractors and it has absolutely no control over the tracking of the package or any committment it makes to the customer.
I was expecting a package (Door Tag # DT 7510 7129 7858) to be delivered to my home on a Thursday. Since I knew that I cannot be at home on Thursday I called FedEx that could they hold my package or re-route the package to my office address:
Pain #1: No re-routing available on the FedEx Home service. I could understand this being an economical version of FedEx might not have that functionality
Pain #2: My request to hold the package could not be entertained until 24-48 hours has passed because the packages are given to independent contractors and they have no way to connect to them
Pain # 3: I called repeatedly (6 times) on Friday and Saturday to find whether the package has been held at their facility (15miles from my address) and everytime the answer was that it is not there. We cannot guarantee we when will it be there
Pain #4: We do not work on Sunday and Monday. My package that was supposed to be delivered on Thursday will need to be collected 15 miles from my place only next Tuesday, IF I AM LUCKY

Everytime I called FedEx I would learn a new factoid about this FedEx Home service. Please use USPS or a UPS Ground service but never never FedEx Home. It sucks!!
 
my PS3 FedEx shipping story as of now... and the reason why i wont use fedex again

it sucks cuz its all SCEA uses if i woulda known what was going to happen i woulda told sony screw it and fixed my PS3 myself (after all it only needed a new HDD)
here is my story i call sony 4/14 they send empty box via FedEx 6 days later it arrives a little banged up with puncture holes (probably from being dropped at some point during shipping) 4/20 i sent PS3 in the already damaged box to Sony(SCEA) 4 days pass and i hear nothing on my PS3 i call Sony they've yet to receive it so i give them a few more days i call sony on april 28th they got it in at 8am that morning (ok ima point out right now that it took it 8 days to travel to Fort Worth TX from Napa Valley CA...WTF!) i called and checked on the 30th sony had fixed my PS3! (not that hard) it took Fedex till the 2nd of whats now May to pick it up (so a full 2 days later). Ive been tracking it through FedExs crappy tracker i checked it on the 1st they didnt have the package so i check it on the 2nd they still didnt have it i checked it again later that day they finally got it around 12pm then it disappeared when i checked it again a few hours later to verify it with a family member, it went back to saying my package was still being processed or sum crap. i said F it and went about my day checked it again on the 3rd HEY! thay have it again and it says ill be receiving it on the 5th! i was stoked i was getn my PS3 back in 2 days. I was all excited that i went and got some accessories for it (mainly an inercooler so it wont ever overheat and a few other things) went home called it a day. I checked back on the 4th(yesterday) shoulda never done that now it says ima get my PS3 back on the 6th, a day later, (im an antsy person) so this kinda pissed me off alot and im still pissed off about it i'll probably check the tracker later 2day 5/5 hopefully it changes... again, but hopefully for the better this time lol

NO! actually i wish they did cuz if so im sure they'd be outta business already, Sony woulda used UPS and i'd have my PS3 by now lol
So do i like FedEx? only if I have all the time in the world, so other words no I hate there slow ass rate of shipping if it was UPS standards i woulda had it by 4/3 and no later then 4/4... everytime I use UPS they come the day I arrange for a pick up (or sent out the same day i drop it off depending on the situation) either or its always in transit the day of... and usually takes the package 4 days to travel to its destination I used to ship and receive things to and from Port Angeles all the time
... keep in mind the day my PS3 shoulda shipped or picked up from fedex driver, shoulda been 4/30 the day the shipping order was placed at least it woulda been with UPS, so i start the whole process on the 30th like it SHOULD BE, its not my fault FedEx didnt pick it up till the 2nd... so, so far this has taken 6 days in standard shipping time. all 3 shipments have taken more then 5 days therefore FedEx shouldnt get to EVER say 5-7 days, FedExs new slogan should be "you'll get it in about a week... or when ever" lol
ok ive let this story/rant go on for to long now. so my summary of FedEx is they are slow, misleading and i will never go through them again and if i have to send something to Sony or to someplace that uses fedex ima pay for other services or just not go through with it and ill take and/or pick up the package to and/or from the destination myself! lol

For the most part you can count on FEDEX home packages not move (transit) o Friday Saturday sunday. also most home delivery contractors do not deliver on mondays.
Companies love Fedex home because the rates are extremely cheap.
Companies are in not rush to serve their customers RMA issues.

Fedex provides a low cost economy service. How else can companies provide free shipping.
It is what it is.
 
i understand its cheap but i dont understand why it takes so long...btw the FedEx site even says they pick up and ship on saturdays and mondays no extra charge
and this isnt the 1st bad experience with FedEx in my family i told my grandfather and he told me that one time fedex lost a package he sent to his house a week prior to ending his trip he got home expecting it to be there when he realized he beat the package to his house he called fedex, it was a hunting knife so he figured customs may have confiscated it they did not though because the package was still in Florida apparently lost in one of their Hubs after about 4 days of anguish and annoyance they located it for him and told him it must have fallen off the conveyor, so you would think out of courtesy they woulda overnighted it to him... but nope after they found it they proceeded to freight it to him with only an apology for having lost it... im sorry but service like that is crap and not acceptable to me... but it will have to do for now, just next time i wont use FedEx and i will mark this endeavor as lesson learned lol
 
Funny, where I am FedEx Home Delivery rocks and UPS is the one I dread. When I ship I only ship FedEx Home Delivery b/c it's less expensive than UPS and I've had 100% success with them.
