Just go to Fedex.com.

  • Under the SHIP menu,
  • click on Get Rates & Transit times.
  • Select you Zip as the TO: address (and a random zip for the FROM),
  • choose a Friday as the ship date,
  • then click on Get Quick Quote.
  • It will then list a Saturday delivery in the Delivery dates if your zip is eligible.

Service Areas: U.S. Saturday delivery is available in the majority of U.S. cities with FedEx Priority Overnight® and FedEx 2Day® services. FedEx Priority Overnight shipments picked up on Friday can be scheduled for Saturday delivery by noon in our A1, A2, AA and A4 service areas and by 1:30 p.m. in our A3, A5 and AM service areas. FedEx 2Day shipments picked up on Thursday can be scheduled for Saturday delivery by 4:30 p.m. (5 p.m. in Alaska) in our A1, A2, AA, A3, A4, A5 and AM primary service areas. Select ZIP codes in our A6 and PM areas may have Saturday delivery as well. Call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 to determine the service area for your destination. We also offer Saturday delivery in most areas of the U.S. with FedEx SameDay® service, depending upon flight availability.

Awsome, have it in my area (and if it wasn't there, that would be a big, big surprise for South Bay Los Angeles).

No don't worry. You will most probably get your iPad on April 3. The link provided checks saturday service options for Fedex Freight Services which is technically a separate division within Fedex. If you have a Fedex Express (not Ground or Home Delivery) station within 30 miles of your address, you will most probably have Saturday delivery available in your location. Call up your local Fedex station, or call 1-800-GO-FEDEX for a definitive answer.

Gee THANKS!:D

I don't have an "S" . I'm in H6.
So does that mean I won't be getting the iPad on 4/3 even though the Apple order page says I will???:eek::mad::(

And directly on the iPad preorder page:

"iPad pre-order limit: two per customer. If Saturday delivery is not available in your area, iPad will be delivered on April 5."

I got an (H3), so I'm assuming I don't have saturday delivery in my area. In which case, I'm glad I reserved for in-store pick-up.

This page os fr FedEx freight, which completely different from the FedEx entity who will be delivering iPads to people. This thread is pointless/useless.

Related story: I once had a package coming from FedEx and updated the online status saying they tried to deliver it (which they didn't as I was home all day). I called to complain and was told I needed to call FedEx Home, the "regular" FedEx support couldn't help me. OK, can you transfer me? No. OK, what's the number? I don't know. Can you fond someone who does know? No, no one here knows. We're basically two separate companies. Point being, FedEx freight, FdEx home, and FedEx are almost completely unrelated entities that share the same name. I hate FedEx and wish Apple would use UPS.

You have to be kidding me. I am going to be in Disney World in Orlando on April 3rd. I ordered the iPad to be delivered to my resort. Now according to this Fed Ex doesn't deliver on Saturday. What the heck should I do. I believe Fed Ex Freight is the correct delivery, as these should be coming from over seas.

Should I change the delivery address on my order?

I would change it if you are not going to still be at Disney on April 5th. That's the day they will be delivered if Saturday was not available.

Call the 800 number to verify. This check is not exact. A resort is also a business so it will differ

This is not intended as a flame, but this sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Fedex Freight is not going to deliver the item to you unless you ordered a pallet. Federal Express will make the delivery of your unit. Contact them to verify, 1800-GO-FEDEX.

Correct, or FedEx home, depending on where you are. FedEx home runs standard ground shipments on Saturdays now, I believe.

He ordered it to be delivered to a business address so it most likely won't be Fedex Home Delivery. I am almost positive that Apple will be shipping these units as "Priority Overnight with Saturday Delivery" which would mean a delivery before 10:30 am on Saturday April 3. This is exclusively a Federal Express service since its not "ground" (and "ground" service is catered by Fedex Ground for the businesses and Fedex Home Delivery for residential areas)

So, using this method, it tells me that a FedEx shipment made on Friday, coming from TN to me in FL, would be delivered by noon on Saturday. That sounds promising.

I believe Apple bulk-ships to the main FedEx hub in Memphis for individual distribution (at least to the Southeast, based on the details of my 3GS pre-order).

Next time, if you find something better. Send someone an PM.

Yes, for that specific person, it won't be FedEx home. I was just saying that for the benefit of many people who will be getting it via FedEx home. :0
