was just tracking my MBP, is this the usual route to western canada?

Rancho Cordova to Memphis and then back up to Winnipeg?

btw,

im guessing this is by plane, cause it has all happened in a day

I ordered my mom a macbook for mothers day, and she lives in Calgary. I was also surprised by the route it took. I forget exactly where it went but I know it went to anchorage first, then down to the mainland USA (possibly memphis) then somewhere else in the states, then back up to Calgary. very strange, but maybe FedEx knows something we don't haha

On the few products I've ordered from Apple, they've all taken a roundabout route. Trust me when I say that Tennessee is nowhere on the way between California and Edmonton.

My best guess is that FedEx's international shipping depot is in Tennessee, so anything sent from the lower mainland that's heading to Canada or abroad gets shunted through that location. It typically add 1-2 days of shipping time, depending on when you place your order.

Strange and bizarre yes, but nothing to worry about.
