The new processors must run hot!!!

On a serious note, hope no one gets hurt, deliveries can be easily replaced.

I've always wondered what it would be like if a warehouse went up in flames that had iPhones.

I mean it seems like right now that Apple has 10 million iPhones in four locations(China, Cali, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania.) Assuming that there's 2.5 million phones in each location, one fire could wipe out over a billion $ in iPhones. Thursday night can't come quick enough since our phones will all say goodbye to each other and be shipped out to their respective city.

Whoever Apple or the carrier's insurance company is would be out a lot of money. It probably would bring in a lot of money for the manufacturers that get to replace all of them.

Meanwhile, insurance is paying lots, manufacturing is laughing all the way to the bank, and everyone's iPhone that just went up in smoke has to wait for a new one to be made.

That could be a logistical nightmare if thousands or millions of phones were damaged. Luckily my phone just reached UPS origin scan this morning so hopefully the iPhones will scatter. That way if something did happen, it might only affect a couple hundred.

While it sucks, better JFK than, say, Louisville. If we got word that the UPS Warehouse in Louisville was in flames, we'd all become the US' biggest impromptu firefighting service.

That's when they ship them to their other hub in Ontario, and pray that the San Andreas doesn't go off again. ;)

Then again, I wonder how many people would actually contemplate making the drive to Anchorage to make sure their phone was safe..
