So, as you know, I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I can work for my friend in the future (internet consulting/sales) and do web design/editing for him. He currently has someone working for him now on a part-time basis. I just talked to this guy to get a better idea of what I need to know. I'm freaking out. I am so clueless and I'm afraid it'll take me forever to get up to speed. He uses ImageReady (in Photoshop) to create html tables with slices (no idea what I'm talking about) and then puts it into Dreamweaver. So now I need Photoshop (the full one w/ ImageReady) AND Dreamweaver. I am already broke and I don't even know if I'll be any good at this. Dreamweaver is not very user friendly (I have the trial version but it just expired today). Sorry for the vent, and that's all this is... I don't really expect any response, I'm just feeling a little worried that I'm taking all of this on and I'm going to suck at it. Is 4 months even a reasonable amount of time to learn all of this? I'm afraid my friend is going to hire this guy full-time and then I'll be screwed.
