Felica (Japan version of NFC) present in USA carrier CDMA models

many japan sites are reporting that if you buy the CDMA version of iPhone 8 or X in the USA, that it contains both the standard global NFC as well as the Japan (de facto) standard Felica.
meaning that if you travel frequently to Japan you would be able to use Felica payments if you purchase the Sprint or Verizon model.
