I am going to get my fiance a AW S1 for Xmas and not sure what size to get her. She's really petite, small wrists. Thing is, I could never use the 38mm for it's too small. What are the thoughts of some females? Is 42 too big?

Thanks

Thanks! Maybe 38 is the way to go. I have it narrowed to silver. Goes with all the jewelry she wears and can add almost any color band to it.

So here is what I just did. I ordered this online from local Target for $269. They are running a $198 Black Friday deal on it. I am going to go get it today, take receipt back after or on BF for the price adjustment. Save me the Black Friday mad dash

I noticed that you have a Series 2, but you're getting her a Series 1. Not my business on how other people spend their money ... just saying.

She won't take advantage of the additional features like I do.

Are you sure they will match it? Most of the price matching deals specifically exclude BF sales.

From BB:

"Exclusions apply including, but not limited to, Competitors' service prices, special daily or hourly sales, and items for sale Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving. See the list of Designated Major Online Retailers and full details."

My wife got the 38mm because the 42mm looked way too big on her wrist. And, the 38mm looks way too small on my wrist, even though they both measure the same size. I think it is more about what size she is used to wearing. (big or small watch faces)

Thanks for the info. I asked as customer service since I had to pick up online order there. She told me they do not match BF prices. I then said what if I come in and return it and buy right back. She said that would be fine. In fact, I do not even need to take the watch back in, just the receipt.
This is excellent...I am sure they will fly off the shelves at $70 off.

Thats interesting. If they "say" they do not match BF sales, but you can come in and exchange it for the same price with just the receipt, then... they do match the price!

Wife loves her 38mm but my sis-n-law who is 100lbs soaking wet went with 42mm and loves it. Looks big on her but she says she can't see the 38mm

Oh well, she can return it. Part of my job is done.

I say 38mm... I have very small wrists and the 42 just looks funny on my wrist. Got my gold series 2 today and I'm loving it so far!

Can you post a couple pics in here?

I'm skinny but i prefer the 42mm. If shes petite and skinny like around 110lbs, then get the 38mm. Especially if its more a gimmick for her to play around. Not actually doing stuff with it multiple times a day.

That looks good on your wrist. Her arm looks about the same size I'd say. I think 38 was the right decision. Here's a crop of her arm from halloween.

I would love to get the 42, as I have a hard time reading the text on the 38, but it simply is too large, doesn't sit flat on my wrist. I'm under 100lbs. I envy people who are able to wear the 42!
