Is it really vain to be more worried about what abuse my poor iPhone is going to get than how to keep clean myself?

I should add we are not camping, so two things iam worried about....

the battery life
keep it dry(making sure I dont get water in either dock/headphone jack.

Any ideas on either?

I took mine to Leeds Festival last year - Thursday to Monday.

I turned off Wifi, Push, GPS, 3G, etc and turned it off as often as I could. I think it lasted until Sunday afternoon.

Funnily enough, I haven't noticed any particular increases in battery life with the OS updates but I'd be disappointed if it didn't last all the way through this year.

IOW festival last year had the BT tent in which you could charge your phone, watch tv and internet etc. Also in the main arena my iPhone couldnt connect to the internet for some reason so I hardly used it! Only in strawberry fields!! :D
