Hi Guys
just a quick poll to see your opinions

I have had a fever of 38.8C (101.8 For others) for the last 5 days, now that in its self is not unusual for me, what is is the fact I have absolutely no appetite , usually when I am ill I clear out the fridge and cupboards. Now, I haven't had solid food in three days, the very thought of food repulses me.

So I ask you do you think a fever should be starved, feed more, or left alone try to keep regular routine ?

thanks...

Option 5) Visit a doctor to see why you're running such a high fever for so many days.

Feed a cold, starve a fever.

A fever means your immune system is up and running, "all systems go." Eating in most cases will increase your temperature, which is not what you want right now.

When you feel weak and/or chilled is when you want to eat while sick.

like I said not unusual for me, my doctors worry only after 2 weeks...:(

Gotta agree with Yellow. Probably the worst thing that can happen is you get dehydrated which makes you even weaker. Eat some, but less than what you normally would.

(I just clicked curl up and whimper cause it was funny).

In the UK we have a drink called Lucozade. In it's original form its the ultimate "poorly drink". It can pretty much cure anything. Its even better than a nice cup of tea !

Of course now there are Lucozde sports drinks and everything but the original flavour is the one that really works !

I am drinking an electrolyte drink right now - warm...
cold stuff making me feel worse...
