Hey everyone. I've had my 2010 MBP i5 2.4GHz since early June. Simply put, I love it. But have a few questions.
1. Last week I hooked it up to my monitor via DP->HDMI. It took a few minutes, but I finally figured out clamshell mode. That worked fine. I just pushed a button on my Mac keyboard to wake up the MBP. Since yesterday, I haven't been using the monitor. But when I open the lid while it's sleeping, it doesn't wake up by itself. I have to push a button on the {built in} keyboard. What changed?
2. While using the monitor (22" 1080p), the MBP was running a bit slow. With other laptops, the same thing happened, but I thought it was due to underpowered CPUs and GPUs. For example, Firefox is kind of laggy and normal OS use is slow-ish. (Such as opening files, etc) Why is this happening? I don't experience many problems without the external monitor. And I expect it to be more than fine since it has the dedicated video card and such.
Thanks, and I apologize for the length of the questions!
